MOT Charter High School / Dual Enrollment Students Serve with a Smile at Ronald McDonald House

Wilmington University dual-enrollment students at MOT Charter High School, and members of the University Human Resources Department, volunteered to cook breakfast for the families in residence at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH). The result was service with smiles all around.

Since 1991, Ronald McDonald House has served as “home away from home” for families of seriously, chronically ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at area hospitals. Many of the family members leave early in the morning to support their relatives at the hospital and most do not return until evening. Home cooked meals give the RMH families a chance to relax and regroup often with their loved ones who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The Ronald McDonald House meal program allows groups from area schools, churches and civic organizations to prepare breakfast on Saturday or Sunday or dinner every day of the year.
