Biography
Khatera is a part-time assistant professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program within the College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences at Wilmington University. Holding dual certifications as a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
Khatera’s academic journey includes a B.A. from California State University Dominguez Hills, an ADN from Denver School of Nursing, a BSN from the University of Louisiana Lafayette, and an MSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Khatera went on to obtain her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification from Wilmington University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Wilmington. In addition to her academic endeavors, she actively contributes to the field of mental health by working in an outpatient mental health practice in Colorado where she focuses on treating mental illness by addressing the root cause.
