Biography

Carole Aloi Cummings is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Business at Wilmington University, where she also serves as a part time Adjunct Coordinator. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Cummings was a dynamic court professional with over thirty years of progressively responsible leadership positions in court administration in New Jersey and New York courts with specific experience in the development and management of budgets, staff, information systems, and administrative operations and policies and procedures.  Ms. Cummings teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate levels for the College of Business as well as developing and redeveloping class curriculum.

Ms. Cummings earned her law degree at night with a full-time job and three children under the age of 11 so she truly understands the juggling students often have to do. She also holds a BS degree from St. John’s University and a MA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  She was admitted as a Fellow of the National Center for State Courts at the United States Supreme Court in 1994 by the Hon.(ret) Chief Justice Warren E. Burger. Ms. Cummings does not have a private practice but maintains an active law license.  She also completed the Exemplary Level for Pathways to Instructional Excellence.

Ms. Cummings has volunteered for various committee assignments and memberships both with the Judiciary and at Wilmington.  She served two terms as the undergraduate adjunct faculty representative.

In her spare time, Ms. Cummings continues with volunteer work with the Atlantic County Charity League, Cornwall Fire Company and her local church.

She now lives in Cornwall PA with her rescue dogs and cat.  She was raised in Brooklyn, NY and resided in South Jersey for many years.
