Coronavirus Update

Remote Services and Operations Continue Through May 15

Dear Colleagues,

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has reshaped the way we conduct our daily lives. Delaware Gov. John Carney and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy have declared a State of Emergency in their respective states. The mandates protect citizens from a possible public health emergency caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) strongly advises social distancing whenever possible.

Since your safety and our students’ safety are foremost in our minds, we have decided to continue working remotely until May 15, as mandated by Governor Carney’s addendum to the Delaware State of Emergency.

I’m fortunate to work with a united and collegial administration, staff and faculty who work collaboratively and compassionately in both good and challenging times. I am especially grateful to our COVID-19 Response Planning Team, as well as our Maintenance, IT and security departments, all of whom have been working around the clock.

We must all take steps to slow the spread of the virus. I wish you and your families good health during this critical time. We will get through it together.
