Upcoming Wilmington Baseball and Softball Games Postponed; Make-Ups Announced

The winter weather continues to put a burden on the start of the 2014 spring schedules as the Wilmington University baseball and softball teams have postponed upcoming games this weekend.
The baseball team’s four-game series against Indiana (Pa.) on Thursday and Friday at Diamond Nation has been postponed due to the latest snow storm expected to hit the east coast this week.
The baseball team will now play a nine-inning and a seven-inning doubleheader against Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday, March 1 at Thomas Run Park on the campus of Harford Community College in Bel Air, Md. The double header is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
The softball team’s home opening doubleheader on Saturday against Mansfield has been postponed. Saturday’s doubleheader against Mansfield has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22, at Asbury Field, starting at 2 p.m.
UPDATE: Sunday's doubleheader against Pace will now be played on the turf at the WU Athletics Complex, starting at 12:00 p.m.
Keep an eye on wilmu.edu/athletics for possible make-up dates, times, and locations, as both teams plan to keep their full allotment of game for the 2014 season.
