Wilmington University Invites You to Get in the Game

Wilmington University’s College of Technology is putting work aside and focusing on the serious fun of its brand new Game Design and Development Major. The College is inviting game enthusiasts to an Information Session to be held on Tuesday, May 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Doberstein Admissions Center Auditorium on the University’s New Castle campus. Thanks to the people at Gamer Doc, Wilmington University has set up several different gamer stations, with players competing in games ranging from Street Fighter 4, and Wii Sports, to Madden 10, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and more.

Players will be given the chance to flex their skills, or learn new tricks, all with the chance to win big prizes. The highest scoring players on all systems will have the chance to win $30 gift cards to Gamer Doc. But victory isn’t reserved for the elite. Just by registering, attendants will have the chance at one of two $60 gift cards, as well as a shot at a grand prize drawn in August.

While resting in between rounds, attendees will still have plenty to do. Faculty from Wilmington University’s Game Development and Design program will show prospective students all they can do with the degree. Current students look forward to sharing their knowledge of campus life, while representatives from Wilmington University’s Admissions Office will walk interested parties through the admissions process. Financial Aid representatives will also be in attendance to give financial advice.

Wilmington University is setting the stage. Will you answer the call? For more information, check out www.wilmu.edu/technology, or contact Adam Voyton at (302) 356-6977.
