It's Time for the Annual Holiday Book Fair at Wilmington University

From bestsellers to children's books, and stationery to holiday gifts, this yearly tradition has something for everyone.

Wilmington University hosts its annual Holiday Book Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on December 3 and 4 in the Doberstein Admissions Center auditorium on the New Castle campus.

Sponsored by Books are Fun™, the Book Fair offers a wide selection of books and gifts for family, friends and children of all ages. From New York Times bestsellers, children’s books and classics to educational books, stationery and an assortment of gifts, the Book Fair is open to the public as well as to all Wilmington University faculty, staff, students and their family members.

“Wilmington University has hosted this Book Fair for the past six years," said Karen Sheats, Assistant Director of Human Resources at Wilmington University. "Shoppers can purchase gifts conveniently and at low cost right here on campus. As always, the Book Fair is open to everyone in the community, with all proceeds from the event benefiting the University’s Student Scholarship Fund.

"I enjoy walking through the aisles and displays," Sheats added. "It's not just about shopping. I also have a chance to re-connect with fellow employees I haven't seen in a while. It’s a great way to share the holiday spirit!”

Gina D. Garner, Bookstore Associate at Wilmington University, said she is drawn by the Book Fair’s selection and prices.  “They always have great Christmas gifts," she said. "And they always have a good turnout!"

Not every purchase has to be a gift for someone else on your list. It can also be fun to give yourself a gift or two.

"I purchased three journals for myself today," said Garner. "Because I’m working on some new things in my life, life-changing things. It helps to write it all out and these journals are just what I need."
