One of Wilmington University’s youngest chapters is headed for wonderful things!
Stephanie Klair is ready to lead Maryland Chapter expansion.
Stephanie Klair is no stranger to hard work, dedication, and leadership. And it is exactly for this reason that the WilmU Alumni Association’s Maryland Chapter is in great hands. Klair, who recently accepted the position of Maryland Chapter Chair, is a fourteen-year veteran in the highly demanding field of Critical Care Nursing. In this field she has learned sound decision making and the ability to act with confidence and accuracy- skills that are sure to translate into a dynamic Alumni presence in Maryland.
Stephanie has been awarded two different degrees from Wilmington. The first was a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005, from what was then Wilmington College. The second completed course of study was a Post- MSN Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Certificate, which was conferred in January 2014. When asked about her experience at Wilmington University, she said that she really appreciated the fact that the school was accommodating to the working professional. She said that she felt that the way the programs were designed really allowed for a healthy balance between work, school, and family.
Stephanie shared that she is really excited to be a part of what she knows is going to be an explosively growing chapter. She even mentioned that the path to expansion is already underway, with the chapter’s first official event coming up on Thursday, July 24th, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. This inaugural event is going to be a Crab Feast held at the Nauti-Goose in North East, Maryland. This evening is going to be a great time of food and the establishment of new friends and connections.
Stephanie concluded the interview with a message for all of Wilmington Universities Alumni who live in Maryland. She said that she wished for all to know that, “Wilmington University is not only interested in your growth as a student, but also as alumni. We want to partner with you as you grow in your career, with your family, and personal interests. We also want to make a positive and lasting influence on the communities within the state of Maryland. If you have ever wanted to get involved, meet great people, and give back to your community; this is perfect opportunity!"
