Kappa Delta Pi of Wilmington University to Host Spring Induction Ceremony

Keynote Address by 2014 Delaware Teacher of the Year Lea Wainwright.

The Chi Phi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in Higher Education, will host its Spring induction ceremony for new members May 5, 2014, in the Doberstein Admissions Center Auditorium on the main campus of Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware.

Delaware's 2014 Teacher of the Year, Wilmington University alumna Lea Wainwright, will deliver the ceremony's keynote address. An advocate for education and learning, Mrs. Wainwright received her M.Ed. in Applied Educational Technology from Wilmington University in 2010. She currently teaches French at Appoquinimink High School.

Kappa Delta Pi seeks to induct individuals who have exhibited the highest ideals of scholarship, integrity in service, and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions. Eligibility for membership in Wilmington University’s Chi Phi chapter requires a GPA of 3.70 or higher, faculty/supervisor recommendations and a record of outstanding performance in both education fieldwork and student teaching.
