Wilmington University Rehoboth Site Offers Free Non-Credit Spanish Class

Class is designed to help students taking Spanish for the first time.

Wilmington University’s Rehoboth site is offering a free non-credit Spanish class as a part of their community outreach program.

This non-credit class is for students who will be taking introductory high school Spanish beginning this Fall. The class will cover greetings and leave takings, the alphabet, pronunciation, numbers, telling time, general descriptions, talking about yourself and family members, and using verbs in present tense.

The class will begin Tuesday, July 9 and will continue every Tuesday through August 13, 2013. Class time is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

“We’re hoping to help alleviate any student's anxiety about taking a foreign language for the first time,” said site manager and adjunct professor, Dianna Hiott, M.Ed. “By making the class time from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday, we are making it easy for parents by holding the class before parking in Rehoboth Beach becomes an issue."

To register, please call 302-227-6295. Space is limited; early registration is recommended.
