Wilmington University students in a photojournalism class will be given free reign over campus on Wednesday, April 8 to capture ‘A Day in the Life of Wilmington University’. The forty student photographers will have a full day from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. to take pictures all over the New Castle campus. The pictures will then be used to create a photo essay.
Photojournalism professor Brad Bower, who is conducting the event, explains, “The whole process is to get the students to understand the complexity of communicating and executing a photo essay [in] a true photojournalist’s world.” Wilmington University has been focused on providing students with a real-world, practical education since the school opened in 1968.
Any inquires can be sent to Day in the Life Assignment Editor, Kelly Gralley, at kgral60536@wildcats.wilmu.edu.
Student photographers interested in participating should contact Kelly Gralley at the email address above no later than Friday, April 3.
