Connected Degree Day at Georgetown Site Welcomes Transfer Students

Wilmington University’s Georgetown site will be participating in the annual Connected Degree Day on February 15 from 12:00-1:00 pm held at the Owens campus of Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC). The event commemorates the partnership between Wilmington University and DTCC.

The event gives DTCC students the opportunity to meet with Wilmington University representatives and advisors and learn about transferring credits. Prospective students will also hear about the more than 30 bachelor’s degrees offered at Wilmington University.

Local high school counselors have been invited to discuss how the Wilmington University and DTCC partnership can assist potential students. After completing a tour of the campus, counselors may speak with representatives and garner information about programs offered at Wilmington University or DTCC.

Since 1980, Wilmington University partnered with the Owens campus of Delaware Technical and Community College, which is located in Georgetown, Del. The two institutions offer connected degree options in numerous programs to allow students a seamless transition into a bachelor’s degree program. This partnership was enhanced by the construction of the Carter Partnership Center, which has housed Wilmington University classrooms since February 14, 1992. The University has since held a Connected Degree Day to offer DTCC students information about transfer options.
