At Frederick C.C.: Played two years at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Md. – helped team to a 39-16 overall record as a sophomore in 2013, reaching the Region XX Tournament – named Second Team NJCAA All-American as a sophomore – named First Team All-Region XX as a sophomore – batted .394 with 76 hits, 17 doubles, four triples, 37 RBIs, and 55 runs as a sophomore – named First Team All-Region XX and Second Team All-Conference as a freshman.

High School: Four year letterwinner at Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, Va., for head coach Rod Hodgson – named First Team All-District and First Team All-Region as a senior in 2011 – named First Team All-State All-State as a junior – named First Team All-District, Region and Area as a sophomore – named Honorable Mention All-State as a sophomore.

Personal: Joshua John Swirchak – son of John and Terry Swirchak – has two older siblings, Erin and Mike – majoring in sports management at Wilmington University – the greatest piece of advice he ever received was to “slow the game down” – his favorite player of all-time is Derek Jeter – his biggest pet peeve is wet socks.
