Wildcat Baseball Volunteers at Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup

Wilmington University Baseball Team
Members of the Wildcat baseball squad teamed up with the Wilmington University Green Team, to volunteer at the local Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
The team helped pick up trash and clean up along Route 273 in New Castle, starting at New Castle Baptist Academy and finishing at the Farmer’s Market, located on Route 13. The team, along with their coaches, brought over 30 participants to the event.
The one-day clean-up was a huge success, and the team had a great time supporting such a worthy cause. Head Coach Brian August and the Green Team’s Mark Paris organized the squad’s participation in the event and said, “It was a great experience to see our student-athletes give back, and know they can contribute on an off the field”.
