The host Rams of Philadelphia University made short work of the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University, sweeping them in three straight sets (15-25, 14-25, 19-25) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action on Tuesday evening.
Wilmington was led by junior outside hitter Meghan Frick, who posted 10 kills and eight digs. Junior libero Brittany O’Neill added 13 digs, while sophomore Paige Norvell chipped in with 10 digs.
Philadelphia was paced by Nicole Berkstresser’s 10 kills and four blocks. Celena Rendo added nine kills and a match-high 19 digs, while libero Natalie Amodei chipped in with 13 digs.
Following the match, Wilmington dropped to 5-6 in the CACC and 9-12 overall, while Philadelphia improved to 10-1 in the conference and 22-9 on the season. The Wildcats return to the court on Saturday afternoon, when they play host to the Chargers of Dominican College in a CACC contest beginning at 12:00 PM.
